I've always had a lot of interest in setting up classes so since the sewing workshops started in 2015,I have enjoyed sharing my knowledge and experience with many like-minded people on a variety of projects. It is really fun and rewarding for me and also refreshing to see how much each individual gets out of the experience.
You can learn a wide range of skills whether you are a beginner or a crafty individual!! Classes involve either making specific items and these are listed on the class schedule or if you want to make something specific within the time allocated in a class, I am quite flexible. Check with me first though as I would need to assess your skill level.
Items suitable for the beginner level include aprons, cushion covers, tote bags, doorstops and bunting. For the ones who want more of a challenge, products include zip cosmetic bags, lined shoulder bags and even clothing such as kimono tops, PJ shorts/trousers, skirts and dresses!! You will not need to buy any sewing equipment, that is provided, but it would help if you brought your own machine. Cost of fabrics are extra unless specified on the course details.
These workshops are held in my small home-based sewing workshop in Carmarthen town. Numbers are limited but then you do get more one-to-one tuition time. I live in a quiet street with ample parking outside. Refreshments and cake will be served at each class so when you're working away on your project I will keep your energy levels up!! Classes are held either from 6-9pm on a weeknight or Saturday mornings from 10-1pm. They can be one-off sessions or a short course of lessons. Full details of the most current sewing workshops are listed on my Facebook page and you can also browse at the products that one day you could be making yourself.
If you have any enquiries prior to booking a class, please do not hesitate to contact me.
